Forestry

To keep it short and sweet, I love trees. This love translated into my holding the undergraduate Teaching Assistant position for LSU's Dendrology course for two years so I could teach other kids about the awesomeness of trees. Before I knew it, all I needed to complete a forestry minor was an independent study project. My advising professor told me to go forth into nature and find twenty plant species not taught in any of the plant taxonomy courses at LSU. Document them, identify them, research them, and design a field guide that we can use for future teaching. I did, and the PDF to my guide can be found by

Ducks Unlimited Tiger Chapter Co-Chair 2014-2016

  • Number 1 Collegiate Chapter in 2014, raising over $100K for waterfowl and wetland conservation

  • Number 2 Collegiate Chapter in 2015, raising over $150K for waterfowl and wetland conservation

 

Aquaculture and Fisheries Club Executive Board Member 2014-2015

Initiated member of Xi Sigma Pi, Forestry Honor Society

 

Proud alumna of the Delta Kappa chapter of Zeta Tau Alpha which raised over $100K per year for breast cancer awareness and education in my four years as an active member
